relaynet Terms of Service
Effective October 14, 2026.
relaynet ("the service") is a hosted network relay that connects programs, such as virtual machines and other software running in a web browser, to the internet over a WebSocket. It is operated by Jonathan Beri ("I", "me"), an individual based in California, United States. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to the Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy.
The beta
relaynet is in an invite-only beta. It is offered free of charge, as is, with no uptime commitment. Features, limits and these terms may change; material changes will be announced on the site or by email at least 14 days before they apply, except where a change is needed to stop abuse or comply with law.
Your account
- You need an invite code to activate an account, and you must be at least 16.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and its API tokens. Keep tokens secret; revoke any you believe are exposed.
- One person per account. Do not share accounts or resell access.
Using the service
Your use must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. Traffic from your virtual machines leaves the internet from relaynet's addresses, so misuse affects every user; I enforce the policy strictly.
Each account has limits (bandwidth, sessions, connections, monthly data) shown on the dashboard. Exceeding them closes sessions or refuses new ones.
Changes to the service
The beta may change, pause or end. If I shut relaynet down I will give at least 30 days' notice on the site and by email, except where I must act sooner to stop abuse or comply with law. Paid plans, when they arrive, will be optional and announced in advance; nothing you use for free today will start costing money without your agreement.
Suspension and termination
I may suspend or delete an account, without notice, if I reasonably believe it violates these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if required by law, or to protect the service or others. You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue. My total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to USD 50.
You agree to indemnify me against claims arising from your use of the service in violation of these terms or the law.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
